I think the robot at Cavendish is fantastic. After having spent hours driving around and around honing my road rage skills I think it's marvellous. Obviously if there are about 20 motorists all heading for the same green light it doesn't help, but at least you don't have people in front of you crawling aimlessly down rows which are obviously already full.

I still maintain that the best way (although admittedly a little creepy) to find parking there on a busy day is to drive to the pay station on which ever level and then follow someone to their car. That way no one can argue they were waiting for the space first.

But still, the little lights are a help.

The sensors on some of the bays are in the wrong place so cars sometimes don't get picked up. They fixed the disabled bay thing a while ago though. They now have blue lights. Might still be a problem if you are blue-green colour blind, though.

The robot at Cavendish is a great idea, but I didn't find that it worked flawlessly. Some people park too far in so the sensor doesn't sense them. So you drive around more and find a handicapped bay with a green light above it. Hooray, 2 useless bays.

I suppose those are just some bugs that they can fix, but I found the system useless.
